CONSULTING
As a Product Design consultant, I work closely with product teams to test assumptions and validate ideas through concepting and usability testing, using prototypes to gather actionable feedback.
I help teams work out their ideal customer profiles or create a user segmentation matrix to help them stay focused and aligned.
Collaborative workshops to e.g. map product trees, identify key opportunities, or train your teams sustaining innovation muscles through Design Thinking activities are often the first step. My goal is to empower your team with the tools, processes, and insights needed to create products that not only meet market demands but also drive long-term growth.
Key Outcomes
// Clarity and Alignment
Visualize and map out complex systems to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
// Validated Assumptions
Test and validate assumptions early in the design process to reduce risk and save costs.
// Targeted User Insights
Develop ideal customer profiles (ICPs) or a user segmentation matrix for more targeted product development.
// Collaborative Innovation
Facilitate workshops that foster collaboration and drive innovation through Design Thinking.
// Sustained Growth
Build a foundation for sustained innovation that aligns with both user needs and business objectives.
// To AI or not to AI
Figure out the problem you’re trying to solve - whether through a tech solution that could be meeting an unmet market demand, or understanding a user problem that doesn’t yet have a good product solution. AI can be the driver or simply a tool used in the process.
Services
-
Design sprints drastically reduce the work that usually takes between 3-4 months to around 1 week, allowing teams to quickly prototype solutions while validating concepts with customers and stakeholders.
These can lead to products or solutions, the key is to co-create and connect, while moving fast and exploring options that can be validated with real end-users before investing further. -
Problem framing, discovery workshops, or requirements gathering.
I work with interdisciplinary teams and help teams get a shared understanding of the problem- so everyone has “skin in the game” and can get into action mode (often in the form of pilot teams).
These can be on-site or remote, or a mix. I’m flexible and can easily adjust to what you need.
-
Visualizing customer journeys or the complexity of your product portfolio across teams is an incredibly powerful exercise that helps you focus. It makes teams understand issues better, gets stakeholders to align and creates a bias towards action.
-
Supporting you and your teams with ways of working that make your work more impactful and efficient.
Both inside your org and in connection to the wider organisation - from Product through to Growth and Sales.I specialize and have a lot of experience in working with globally dispersed teams, and enabling team work built on trust that gets teams into working on the right things effectively.
Focusing on streamlining the Product development lifecycle as well as the employee journey.
-
Flexible support as needed so that you can ask me anything and I will support whichever challenge you have.
Best option if you’re dealing with multiple different topics and want to have a strategic sparring partner that adds extra “Oomph” to your work stream or initiative.
Usually set up for a period of 6 months with ~ 8-10 days of support that can be used flexibly and with priority access to my time and 24hrs max response rate.
I often see companies benefiting from external support to kick-off a new stream of work - whether that’s for innovation projects or to untangle an overgrown legacy product. That initial cross-team workshop creates a lot of momentum and joint understanding, but right after it’s all about getting into action mode and setting things up right.
// This is how many of my engagements start.
Helping teams define their problem space well, getting them to collaborate across discipline silos and often continuing to support them into e.g. setting up a pilot team and getting into concepting and solution design.
If you need a consultant with a strong user-focus, with mapping skills and good questions - that’s me!
This can be dedicated full-time support for a certain time, or in a retainer model for a couple of days per month -
to fit the challenge you’re solving.
GETTING INTO ACTION MODE
“Talke developed and facilitated a Discovery & Requirements Gathering offsite for us. These two days really kicked off cross-team collaboration and product/design thinking and provided the momentum we needed to drive action internally....”
